UK govt, Labour agree to continue cross-party talks

United Kingdom government and Labour Party agreed to continue their cross-party negotiations on the way forward in breaking the Brexit deadlock.

Although the representatives of the government and the main opposition party made no breakthrough in the latest round of negotiations, they did agree that it is imperative to bring the withdrawal bill to vote in time to obtain the royal assent before the summer recess kicks off.

Earlier, Brexit Secretary Stephen Barclay expressed concern that Britain is at risk of "sleepwalking" into staying in the European Union unless lawmakers vote for a deal to leave the bloc.
