Dow rebounds over 100 pts on reported auto tariff delay

The Dow surged over 100 points on Wednesday after reports that United States President Donald Trump plans to postpone for up to six months the decision in whether to increase automotive tariffs. Carmaker stocks also went up as the unofficial news came out.

At 1:38 pm ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average index increased by 103 points, or 0.41%. Dow and Visa were the best performers, spiking 1.39% and 1.62%, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Nasdaq 100 jumped 1.11% at 1:41 pm ET helped by Take-Two Interactive Software's rise of 5.32%. The S&P 500 added 0.49% at the same time.
