Saudi king blames Iran for 'terrorist' attacks on tankers, pipeline

King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (pictured), said that Iran was behind the recent attacks on its pipelines and tankers at the Fujairah port in the United Arab Emirates.

Speaking at the summit of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation in Mecca, where Iran had its own representative, the royal branded the attacks as "terrorist operations." According to him, the pipeline attack was conducted a "terrorist militia backed by Iran."

"We confirm that these subversive terrorist acts are aimed not only at the kingdom and the Gulf region, but also on the security of navigation and energy supplies to the world," he warned. Tehran has rejected these accusations as "baseless."
