Exxon Mobil to resume Iraq operations on Sunday
Exxon Mobil Corporation said in a statement on Saturday that it will return its staff to its facilities in Basra and resume operations at the Iraqi site on Sunday.
"ExxonMobil will return to its offices in Basra as of Sunday, June 2," the oil giant stated.
Last month, Exxon Mobil evacuated its employees from Iraq citing "risks to the safety of workers in oil fields" after the United States warned of possible threats from Iran.
