Trump to sign order to get US farmers access to scientific advances

United States President Donald Trump said he will sign an executive order directing federal agencies to streamline the agricultural biotechnology regulatory processes to farmers so that they can get faster access to scientific advances and use them.

Speaking about renewable energy in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Trump once again criticized the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) as the worst trade deal and urged the crowd to "press" Democrats to approve the new United States-Mexico-Canada agreement (USMCA) which will replace NAFTA and "expand market access for US agricultural products." Trump said that the new deal is one of the best trade deals ever and will make US farmers a lot of money, providing Democrats approve it.

Trump also said that the US is taking billions of dollars out of China tariffs and that out of those billions, $16 billion will go to farmers. Trump said that he wants to get along with Beijing but that China has been abusing the US for years and America's colossal trade deficit financed China's infrastructure, energy sector, army. "Now we are taking long-overdue steps to stand up to China's chronic abuse," Trump said.
