Wall Street trades lower premarket ahead of CPI

Markets in the United States traded in the red on Wednesday during premarket as market watchers focused on the inflation data report due for release later today. Investment intentions were also lowered amid rekindled trade tensions between Washington and Beijing after US President Donald Trump said that China wants a trade deal with the US "very badly," but that his administration will not accept an agreement unless it is a "great deal." The monthly budget statement set to be released later in the day was also in the spotlight.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average index lost 0.27%, the S&P 500 declined 0.24% while the Nasdaq 100 fell 0.43% at 4:30 am ET.

The euro traded 0.07% higher against the US dollar to go for 1.1335 at 4:31 am ET.
