Trump starts 2020 re-election campaign

United States President Donald Trump stated that his 2020 campaign was based on a citizens' movement, saying that the US is currently soaring to "incredible new heights." Kicking off his re-election campaign in Orlando, Florida, Trump said that his campaign received 20,000 attendance requests for the first "Make America Great Again" rally.

During his speech, Trump mainly reiterated messages from his previous campaign, accusing the Democratic Party, "fake news media," as well as his previous rival Hillary Clinton of hindering his presidency. "We broke the doors of Washington backrooms," US president said, adding that his administration is still "draining the swamp." He also highlighted stated that the current White House has accomplished "more than any other presidency [in two and a half years]," despite constant attacks by the "permanent political class" and Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.

Commenting on the oppositional party, Donald Trump said that Democrats were trying to "weaponize judiciary" and to "establish socialism." He added that the upcoming elections will not be just the verdict of his leadership, but also on the political system as a whole. he also said that some 400 miles of border wall will be finished by the end of the year and that will appoint his 145th federal judge in the near future.
