Iran claims it has evidence US violated its airspace

The government in Tehran claimed on Friday that it has "indisputable evidence" that the United States violated its airspace, AFP reported. Iran also said that it found parts of the downed unmanned aircraft in its territorial waters where the drone was shut down.

Earlier, Iranian Ambassador to the United Nations Majid Takht-e Ravanchi wrote a letter to the organization's Secretary General Antonio Guterres, stressing that Tehran "reserves the right, under Article 51 of the UN Charter, to take all appropriate necessary measures against any hostile act violating its territory."

Meanwhile, recent reports indicated that US President Donald Trump authorized military strikes on Iran, but changed his minds a few hours later. Senior administration officials reportedly expected a strike on Thursday evening local time, but "received word later" to stand down.
