Oil trades with gains amid Iran tensions

Crude prices rose on Friday, extending the gains seen in the previous session, as tensions between the United States and Iran escalated further, following a recent incident when Iran shot down a US drone that allegedly entered its airspace. Iran claimed earlier that it has evidence the US-controlled drone violated its airspace.

Meanwhile, recent reports indicated that US President Donald Trump warned Iran of a military strike, setting a deadline for Tehran to engage in talks with Washingtons over the issue.
