House Cmte authorizes subpoenas for Kushner, 11 others

The United States House Judiciary Committee voted 21-12 along party lines to authorize subpoenas for documents and testimony from 12 current and former White House officials in relation to the ongoing investigation into alleged obstruction of justice by President Donald Trump.

The individuals include Trump senior adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner, former national security adviser Michael Flynn, former White House chief of staff John Kelly, former Attorney General Jeff Sessions and former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

The committee also authorized subpoenas for documents and testimony connected with Trump's immigration policies, including the "zero tolerance" policy, detention or short-term custody of children or migrant families, and "discussions about or offers of presidential pardons to Department of Homeland Security officials or employees."
