US markets trade flat premarket with Iran in focus

Equities on Wall Street were flat during premarket trading on Monday with as focus remained on ongoing tensions with Iran, as well as global trade issues. Tehran stated it would be open to negotiations with the United States if Washington removed all sanctions against it and returned to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Meanwhile, White House trade advisor Peter Navarro claimed on the weekend media reports on the trade negotiations between the US and China cannot be trusted.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average, the Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500 were all unchanged from the market's close on Friday at 4:26 am ET.

The euro was flat against the dollar at 4:24 am ET, changing hands for $1.12730. The pound slipped 0.16% to $1.12730 a minute later.
