Dow up 100 pts premarket on rate cut hopes

The Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped over 100 points on Friday as equities on Wall Street increased during premarket trade, boosted by the belief the Federal Reserve may cut interest rates in late July. New York Federal Reserve's President John Williams expressed support for monetary easing, as did St Louis's James Bullard.

The Dow was up 0.41% at 4:30 am ET, while the Nadaq 100 rose 0.63%. At the same time, the S&P 500 grew 0.33%.

The euro slipped 0.17% to change hands $1.12575 at 4:29, while the pound lost 0.14% to $1.25283 concurrently.
