Wall Street higher in premarket trade

Shares on Wall Street were trading in the green during Friday's premarket trade as the earnings season continues, with Colgate-Palmolive Co., Twitter Inc. and McDonald’s Corp. all scheduled to report their financial results before the opening bell. Earlier, hopes that the Federal Reserve Board of Governors would cut interest rates were slightly subdued after the European Central Bank held its respective benchmark rate steady, despite the worsening economic outlook of the eurozone.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average index added 0.08% at 4:30 am ET. The Nasdaq 100 jumped 0.77% a minute later, while the S&P 500 increased by 0.27% concurrently.

The euro lost 0.10% against the dollar at 4:31 am ET, buying $1.1136.
