UK, Korea to sign post-Brexit trade continuity deal

Trade representatives from the United Kingdom and South Korea will on Tuesday sign a free trade agreement that will allow businesses to keep trading freely after Brexit occurs 31 October. Annual trade flow between the two countries stood at £14.6 billion in 2018.

In a press release, the UK Department for International Trade said that trade between tow partners increased by an average of 12% per year since the first free trade agreement between the European Union and Korea was signed in 2011.

Trade continuity agreements signed so far by the UK government now cover 38 countries accounting for £89 billion of trade.
