Israeli drones violated sovereignty - Lebanon PM

Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri (pictured) said that two Israeli drones that crashed in Beirut violated the country's sovereignty, media reported on Sunday.

Hariri also said that the incident heightened regional instability and constituted an attempt to push the situation towards more escalation. He added that he would hold consultations with Michael Aoun on the next steps to be undertaken over what he termed the "new aggression."

Hariri's remarks come after two Israeli drones crashed in a Hezbollah stronghold in southern Beirut earlier in the day. A spokesman for the organization said that the drones crashed without being fired upon, with the first falling on the roof of a building housing Hezbollah's media office and the second exploding in mid-air around an hour later after presumably arriving to search for the first.
