Complaint names several witnesses, sources reveal

The individual who warned independent authorities of the conduct of United States President Donald Trump during a call with Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky also pointed to an "atypical" way the documents with descriptions of the conversation were processed, according to insiders. The New York Times wrote, citing unnamed sources including members of Congress, that inspector general Michael Atkinson spoke to "witnesses" identified by the whistleblower.

The person, who has reportedly expressed the willingness to testify and is said to be from an intelligence agency, learned about the details of the controversial conversation indirectly, the article reveals and points to the said White House officials as ones who could corroborate the story. The whistleblower raised the alarm over "soliciting a foreign campaign contribution in violation of the campaign-finance laws" and "serious national security and counterintelligence risks," according to a classified memo from the Department of Justice.

Atkinson allegedly concluded the man or woman who initiated the process is against Trump's reelection bid.
