Amazon wants to get Go tech to airports and cinemas

Amazon wants to implement cashierless technology used at Amazon Go stores at airport stores and cinemas, CNBC reported on Monday.

The tech giant is looking to team up with OTG's CIBO Express and Regal theaters owned by Cineworld, people familiar with the matter said. Amazon allegedly wants to begin setting up equipment at the new locations in early 2020. The company plans on having "hundreds" of new Go-like stores at airports and movie theaters by the end of next year.

Go stores do not have cashiers and customers instead scan their phones upon entering and take products off the shelves. They are then charged for whatever they took.
