Brexit deal doesn't give DUP veto power in first 8 years

The freshly agreed solution for the Irish border issue in the Brexit agreement doesn't give the Democratic Unionist Party veto power in giving consent to the arrangement in the first eight years, the text of the deal showed on Thursday.

As the leading party in Northern Ireland, DUP has said it would not back the Brexit deal due to, among other things, "consent issues."
