UK Parliament to vote on Brexit deal today

British parliamentarians are convening this morning to discuss and vote on the Brexit deal reached earlier in the week.

The session due to start shortly will be only the fifth occasion Parliament has convened on a Saturday since 1982, when it discussed the conflict with Argentina over the Falkland Islands.

A group of former Tory MPs and Labour Party members plan to table an amendment that would demand a Brexit delay until the deal is approved, threatening Johnson's promise to take the country out of the EU by October 31. Meanwhile, the crucial support of the DUP is lacking.
