HK protesters block University, highways

The violence continued for the fourth consecutive day on Thursday amid Hong Kong anti-government protests as the protesters blocked universities around the city as well as the main roads in the Chinese autonomous territory. The police fired tear gas at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University that was responded by the students using handmade weapons.

The protesters used bricks and concrete for the road blockage while the students of Hong Kong University, Baptist University, and Chinese University fortified themselves inside of the campuses.

Previously, the Chinese Foreign Ministry asserted that the "crimes" committed in Hong Kong must be punished while the United States urged China to resolve protests peacefully.
