Euro area GDP growth at 0.2% in Q3

The seasonally adjusted gross domestic product (GDP) in the euro area increased by 0.2% in the third quarter of 2019 compared to the previous three months, according to a flash estimate released by Eurostat on Thursday. In the whole European Union (EU28), the economy grew by 0.3% quarter on quarter. In the previous quarter, the GDP had grown 0.2% in both the euro area and the EU28.

Annually, the seasonally adjusted GDP grew by 1.2% in the Eurozone in the three-month period, while the figure was up by 1.3% in the EU28 compared to the same period in 2018.
