WH: Progress being made on phase-one trade deal
The trade deal between the United States and China is being negotiated, in particular, the "phase-one" deal, White House Deputy Press Secretary Judd Deere told reporters on Wednesday.
Deere stated: "Negotiations are continuing and progress is being made on the text of the phase-one agreement."
The comment comes after media reports said that it is likely Washington and Beijing will not reach the "phase-one" deal before 2020.
