German consumer prices decline in November

Consumer prices in Germany are expected to raise 1.1% in November compared to the same month in 2018, according to a preliminary estimate released by Destatis on Thursday. On a monthly basis, consumer prices were set to decrease 0.8%.

The forecast predicted a growth of 0.1% in the prices of goods, compared to October. This included the energy sector, which is expected to drop 3.7%, and food, which is estimated to grow 1.8%. Prices of services are set to increase 1.8% in November month-on-month.

The final inflation figures for November are due to be released on 12 December.
