Trump reacts to getting cut from Home Alone in Canada

United States President Donald Trump reacted on Twitter to the news that Canada's public broadcaster decided to remove the scene where he appears with Macaulay Culkin in the 1992 movie "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York."

US president jokingly wrote that "the movie will never be the same!" and blamed Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for the move. "I guess Justin T doesn’t much like my making him pay up on NATO or Trade!" one of Trump's tweets read.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation explained that the scene was cut from the movie, which it broadcast recently, to make time for commercials. "The scene with Donald Trump was one of several that were cut from the movie as none of them were integral to the plot," a spokesperson said. In the cameo, Trump helps Culkin's character with directions at the Plaza Hotel, which Trump owned at the time.
