Dow up more than 100 points in premarket

The Dow Jones Industrial Average added over 100 points or 0.36% on Tuesday at 5:01 ET after some of the biggest companies released their quarterly results.

United Technologies Corp. reported its net sales grew 8% on an annual basis in the last quarter of 2019 to reach $19.55 billion. Meanwhile, GAAP earnings per share (EPS) surged 59% on the year to $1.32, as adjusted EPS slid 1% to $1.94. The 3M Company posted revenue of $8.1 billion in the last quarter of fiscal 2019 and fulfilled expectations as the figure grew 2.1%, year-on-year. American pharmaceutical giant Pfizer Inc., on the other hand, said that its revenue in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2019 landed at 12.69$ billion, dropping 9.2% year-over-year.

Nasdaq was also in the green, growing by 0.58% while the S&P 500 went up by 0.32% at 5:09 am ET.

Euro fell against the dollar by 0.06% to 1.10086 at 5:10 am ET.
