Eurozone's GDP rises by 0.1% in Q4

The seasonally adjusted gross domestic product (GDP) in the euro area increased by 0.1% in the fourth quarter of 2019 compared to the previous three months, according to a preliminary flash estimate released by Eurostat on Friday. Meanwhile, it rose by 1% compared to the fourth quarter of 2018.

In the whole European Union GDP growth accelerated by 0.1% in the closing trimester of 2019 compared to the previous quarter while it jumped 1.1% on an annual basis in the same three-month period.

For the whole year 2019, Eurozone's GDP rose 1.2% while the whole bloc's growth acceleration stood at 1.4%, based on quarterly data.
