Europe kicks off higher amid earnings

Stocks in Europe traded in the green at the start of the session on Tuesday as investors awaited the latest economic data for the eurozone and continued to monitor the latest quarterly earnings results.

On the data front, investors will be monitoring the latest producer prices for the euro zone.

Meanwhile, the earnings season is in full swing, with BP, Glencore and Intesa Sanpaolo on the roster for the day.

The DAX rose 0.71% as the session kicked off as Linde led the gains, rising 2.15%. The CAC 40 added 0.57%. TechnipFMC emerged as the best performer, jumping 3.03%. The British FTSE 100 went up 0.98% to start the day as BP advanced 3.09% on strong earnings.

The pound fell 0.32% on the dollar, going for 1.29539 at 9:02 am CET.
