Europe rises premarket with focus on earnings

European stocks rose in premarket trading on Wednesday as investors focused on corporate earnings and economic data. Luxury group Kering is due to report before the bell, while Eurozone industrial production figures are scheduled for release later in the day.

Meanwhile, market watchers also continued to keep an eye on the developments regarding the coronavirus as the death toll from the disease reached 1,110. However, China said the number of new daily coronavirus cases stood at the lowest level since January.

The FTSE 100 added 0.31% at 7:40 am CET, the DAX was up 0.33% at the same time and gained 0.19% at 7:51 am CET. The euro lost 0.10% against the dollar to sell for 1.09084 at 7:42 am CET, while the pound traded flat compared to the US currency to go for 1.29538 at 7:43 am CET.
