Walmart to rebrand personal shopper service - report

Walmart Inc is planning to change its personal shopping service Jetblack, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday. The move comes since investors, which allegedly included numerous venture capital companies and even Microsoft Corp., were not as interested in Jetblack as Walmart had hoped and talks on the subject ended recently.

However, the technology Jetblack uses could be moved to work for Walmart's internal use. Jetblack is designed as a text message service for the delivery of products, excluding fresh food. Jetblack membership cost $600 annually.

Walmart was 0.73% in the green at 10:21 am ET.
