Wall Street opens in green following strong data

Stocks on Wall Street traded higher at the open on Friday following the reports of United States institutions that both retail and import prices rose in January. Seasonally adjusted advance estimates of retail and food services sales monthly increased by 0.3%, while the import price index recorded the same growth, but on a yearly basis. In business news, Delta Air Lines announced it will invest $1 billion over the next 10 years to reduce emissions it produces.

The Dow Jones was flat at the open, with Walmart gaining 0.40%. The Nasdaq 100 and the S&P 500 rose 0.20% and 0.11% at the start, as Expedia Group's stocks jumped 10.63%.

The euro traded 0.13% higher compared to the dollar, changing hands for $1.08552 at 9:33 am ET.
