Fed's Bostic sees US GDP growth in 2-2.25% range

President of Atlanta's Federal Reserve Bank Raphael Bostic said on Friday that he expects the United States economic growth will be in the range between 2% and 2.25% this year.

In an interview with CNBC, Bostic agreed with the recent statement made by James Bullard who said that the US economy could only suffer a temporary hit from the coronavirus, though Bostic added he thinks a fast recovery should follow.

Lastly, he asserted the Fed didn't register any risks that could make it start considering policy changes, adding that the central bank will react in the case of economic weakness rising above expectations.
