US-India trade deal needs to be reciprocal - Trump

Washington and New Delhi are working on a trade agreement, which will need to be reciprocal, President Donald Trump said on Tuesday, noting the United States has a "very large" trade deficit of $24 billion with India.

Trump asserted Washington "has to be treated fairly", stating India can't continue charging "large amounts" of tariffs on goods coming from the US, while it is allowed to export its products almost free of charge.

Earlier today, Trump claimed the relationship between India and the US has never been stronger.
