US markets open higher, Dow up over 150 pts

Stocks on Wall Street started Tuesday's trading session higher, recuperating partially from yesterday's losses. United States President Donald Trump said that a trade deal with India was in the works, but warned the Asian country couldn't keep charging "large amounts" of tariffs on American imports. In business news, Mastercard Inc. announced its CEO will be replaced by the current chief product officer at the beginning of 2021. Home Depot Inc. reported its sales decreased in Q4 compared to 2018.

Meanwhile, housing data published today by the S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller and the Federal Housing Finance Agency showed an increase in house prices in December.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.27% at the opening bell. Home Demot was the best performer, gaining 2.96%. The Nasdaq 100 grew 0.97%, as Regeneron Pharmaceuticals jumped 4.22%. The S&P 500 rose 0.43%, with Keysight Technologies Inc. advancing 7.99%.

The euro slipped 0.10% against the dollar at 9:29 am ET to change hands for 1.08418. The pound climbed 0.43% at the same time, selling for 1.29837 dollars.
