Air France plans to cut 1,510 jobs by end of 2022 - reports

Air France is planning to reduce its workforce by 1,510 by the end of 2022, French media reported on Thursday.

French flag carrier's top brass determined that a cut from 41,230 to 39,720 employees is needed, announcing the decision in its workforce development plan. The ground and support staff are expected to be most affected by the move.

The measure will be not be conducted through involuntary or voluntary contract terminations as 3,800 natural retirements are expected in the next three years. The airline is also looking to hire 2,300 new employees including pilots, flight attendants and maintenance agents, the reports said.
