Eurogrid GmbH (Eurogrid) is a company active in the energy industry, having its registered office in Berlin. Eurogrid invests in electricity infrastructure and offers services to its customers in the sector. The company is majority-owned by the Belgian Elia Group, listed on the Belgian stock exchange. Eurogrid owns 100 % of the shares in German electricity transmission system operator 50Hertz Transmission GmbH (50Hertz).

As part of the Elia Group, 50Hertz operates the transmission grid in northern and eastern Germany and is responsible for the secure electricity supply to around 18 million people. The share of fluctuating renewable energies in the 50Hertz grid area is 60 percent, which is a worldwide peak value.
