Air France to cut flight capacity by up to 90%

In the face of "growing restrictions on the possibility of traveling and a strong downward trend in demand," Air France announced on Monday its flight capacity would be "significantly" but "gradually" decreased between 70% and 90% over the coming days.

As a result of the outbreak of COVID-19, Air France will ground its entire Airbus 380 fleet while its parent company KLM will ground the entire Boeing 747 fleet. The reduction in capacity scheduled to last two months, the group said in a statement.

According to the latest reports, France will not close its borders with neighboring countries but will tighten the measures to fight off the outbreak of coronavirus.
