JPMorgan to give 'front line' staff one-off $1K bonus

In a memo sent to staff on Friday, JPMorgan Chase & Co revealed it would award its "front line employees" one-time bonuses of $1,000, which will be paid out in two installments.

"To help them meet these challenges and to recognize their ongoing commitment to our customers, clients and communities, we will make a one-time COVID-19 special payment equal to a maximum of US$1,000," the bank's memo read.

The decision concerns full- and part-time employees who have to work from office during the coronavirus outbreak. In addition, to be eligible, the employees must make a salary of less than $60,000 a year.
