Air France to put 45K workers on 'partial unemployment'

Air France said on Monday it decided to put its 45,000 employees on "partial unemployment." According to the statement, workers will be working a maximum of one day in five for six months. The company also added it commits to no layoffs.

Recently the company said that its flight capacity would be "significantly" but "gradually" decreased between 70% and 90% over the coming days.

As a result of the outbreak of COVID-19, Air France decided to ground its entire Airbus 380 fleet while its parent company KLM decided to ground the entire Boeing 747 fleet.
