Boeing plans 737 MAX production resume by May - report

Boeing Co. plans to resume the production of its 737 MAX aircraft by May after a long period of a standstill caused by two fatal crashes which happened in the last two years, Reuters reported on Tuesday.

Industry sources claimed Boeing told suppliers to be ready for shipping of the 737 MAX parts in April, as the production is planned to commence in May.

Stocks of the American planemaker jumped 6.12% in the after-hours trading.
