Dow futures drop over 350 pts after Trump's remarks

Equities on Wall Street lost in after-hours trade on Sunday after United States President Donald Trump revealed the COVID-19 containment measures will not end until April 30. During the Administration's Coronavirus Task Force press briefing, he noted the country expects to see a peak in virus-related deaths by Easter, which prompted the decision to prolong the social distancing guidelines.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average index fell by 393 points, or 1.82%, at 02:28 am ET. The Nasdaq 100 declined 1.44% one minute later, while the S&P 500 dropped 1.9%.

Additionally, the euro lost 0.13% against the dollar at 07:29 am ET, going for $1.11210.
