Wisconsin Supreme Court denies postponing primary

The Supreme Court of the federal state of Wisconsin denied requests by the state's governor to postpone its primary elections over fears about the COVID-19 spreading.

The executive order issued earlier by Governor Tony Evers to delay in-person voting by June 9, was blocked by the high court on Monday in 4-2 ruling.

Previously, Evers noted he feels the obligation to do something in order to limit the spread of the virus, saying: "I cannot in good conscience stand by and do nothing."
