Trump: Unknown how long COVID-19 immunity lasts

United States President Donald Trump said on Friday that people who recover from the coronavirus are developing immunity for the disease, but stressed it is still unclear how long the immunity will last.

Trump claimed that the immunity will last at least a year, but could also last two years or even a lifetime.

Earlier, the US president noted that US regulators are in the process of validating antibody tests to see if they are accurate and added the tests would show people if they had the virus and developed immunity. However, South Korean health authorities said that 91 people tested positive for COVID-19 shortly after recovering.
