Dow turns green premarket despite protests

The Dow Jones Index turned green in the premarket on Monday as protests related to the death of George Floyd continued raging across the United States, prompting the government to use the National Guard to stop the violence.

Commenting on the protests, Kremlin said they are the country's internal problem, while Beijing insisted the US is applying double standards when making statements regarding protests in Hong Kong.

The Dow rose 0.22% at 7:48 am ET, while the S&P 500 increased 0.05% at the same time. On the other hand, the Nasdaq 100 dropped 0.13% a minute later. The euro gained 0.08% against the dollar to sell for $1.11140 at 7:49 am ET.
