Wall Street turns green as traders monitor economy reopening

Major stock markets in the United States recovered from earlier losses on Monday as investors continue to monitor the reopening of the economy despite the ongoing protests thorough the country. United States President Donald Trump called state governors "weak" over their response to nationwide protests against police violence and has called for the National Guard to be deployed in all states in order to contain the violent demonstrations.

The Dow Jones increased by 0.27% at 12:18 pm ET, while the S&P 500 was 0.27% higher at the same time. The Nasdaq 100 went up by 0.20% one minute later.

The euro was 0.20% higher against the dollar to go for 1.11256 at 12:17 pm ET.
