Biden wins Democratic primary in Montana

Former United States Vice President Joe Biden won the Montana Democratic presidential primary elections on Tuesday.

The results were declared shortly after the polls closed, and the former vice-president received 74.9% of the votes, ahead of Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders who got 14.4% of the Democratic support, according to the Associated Press News agency. Biden is likely to be the democratic nominee, as Sanders, his only remaining opponent suspended his campaign back in April.

During Tuesday night elections, the former vice president already secured victories in 6 federal states including Indiana, Maryland, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, and New Mexico, however, the results for the District of Columbia are expected shortly.
