Facebook refuses to review Trump's posts

Facebook’s Oversight Board, an independent body that can issue binding recommendations related to content on Facebook and Instagram said on Wednesday it will not review recent provocative posts made by the United States President Donald Trump.

"How Facebook treats posts from public figures that may violate their community standards are within the scope of the Board and are the type of highly challenging cases that the Board expects to consider when we begin operating in the coming months," the Board said in a blog post, stressing that the body was not operational yet.

Last week, Facebook decided to leave the post about George Floyd made by US president on the platform, despite its content suggesting violence, while Twitter put "public interest notice" on it.
