Nasdaq 100 hits new all-time high as crisis fades

Nasdaq 100 Index reached a new record high on Thursday by scoring 9,741 points, marking a complete recovery from the coronavirus crisis which caused the major stock markets in the United States to tumble.

After opening in the negative territory, the index turned green pushed by technology companies such as eBay, Micron Technology and Nvidia Corp.

Nasdaq 100 rose 0.15% at 10:27 am ET, while the Dow Jones gained 0.15% at the same time. A minute later, the S&P 500 traded flat, but also started advancing into positive territory several minutes later. The euro grew 0.55% versus the dollar to go for $1.12952 at 10:28 am ET.
