Oil inventories in US up by 1.75M barrels - report

Crude oil inventories in the United States increased by 1.75 million barrels in the week ending June 19, private data from the American Petroleum Institute (API) reportedly showed on Tuesday. Reserves in Cushing, Oklahoma, allegedly dropped 2.6 million barrels.

Gasoline stockpiles decreased by 325,000 barrels, while distillate inventories contracted by 3.86 million barrels, according to the reported data.

Brent for August deliveries declined by 1.42% to go for $42.41 per barrel at 4:27 pm ET, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for settlements in the same month was 1.03% lower, selling for $40.18 per barrel at the same time.
