Target to pause ads on Facebook amid boycott

Target Corp. joined a long list of companies that have decided to suspend ads on Facebook and Instagram, NBC reported on Tuesday. A source from the company stated that the ads would only be paused for July, and a final decision would be made at the end of the month.

Target spent $46.5 million on Facebook ads in 2019, while its monthly budget for advertising on the social network in July last year was $2.9 million.

The list of companies that have paused Facebook ads over the company's post moderation policies includes Ford, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Unilever, and Verizon.
