Europe lower premarket ahead of manufacturing data

Major stock markets in Europe were slightly lower in premarket trade on Wednesday as traders awaited manufacturing data for Germany, the Eurozone and the United Kingdom due to be published later in the day. In the meantime, it was reported that house prices in the UK recorded the first annual decline in eight years. In business news, Airbus SE revealed it will reduce its workforce by approximately 15,000 by the end of summer 2021.

The DAX decreased by 0.13%, London's FTSE 100 declined by 0.17%, while the CAC 40 was 0.19% down at 8:03 am CET.

The euro was 0.10% lower compared to the dollar at 8:05 am CET, trading at 1.12222. The British pound lost 0.27% against the American currency, going for 1.23670 at the same time.
